Our client is a leading Container Transport Company based in Cork. They have an opening for an experienced Transport Planner to join their established Transport Operations Team to coordinate their fleet.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager.
- Receiving and processing customer bookings.
- Data entry and job progressing on to the in-house system and Customer systems.
- Planning Drivers collections and deliveries with awareness of Drivers' tachograph hours regulations.
- Experience in Fleetmatics.
- Booking & updating jobs.
- Customer Service.
- Problem-solving.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of Container Logistics welcome but not essential.
- Good communications skills on email and verbally.
- Good IT skills especially Excel.
- Geographical knowledge of Ireland's road network.
- Knowledge of drivers' tachograph rules and working time directives.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Good team player.

Full time, permanent, site-based
Package:
€55,000 plus benefits
