A Midlands-based global logistics leader renowned for its efficient and reliable services now seeks to hire a Depot Manager. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and innovation, the Company has established itself as a leader in the logistics industry, providing tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of businesses and individuals worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Logistics, with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage all warehouse resources to ensure continuous availability for effective warehouse operations, maintaining high standards of process compliance, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Meet objectives outlined in the Personal Performance Plan, coordinating warehouse shift activities to achieve targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Report daily to the Regional Director on depot and delivery KPIs.
  • Ensure effective cost control measures are in place to optimise warehouse operations.
  • Identify training and development needs of staff in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and manage the warehouse team and couriers to deliver a best-in-class On-Time delivery service to customers. Maintain effective communication within operational teams, fostering employee engagement in line with company values.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with legislation, including Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
  • Provide support and resources necessary for the team to achieve SMART objectives. Ensure the team operates in accordance with organisational ethos and values.
  • Monitor operational systems to maintain delivery performance, warehouse processes, and integrity.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensuring vehicles adhere to effective warehouse schedules.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records and daily reporting in accordance with established processes. Conduct van audits in the morning and debriefs at the end of the working day.
  • Maintain a positive culture and energise staff, leading by example and fostering a sense of pride in their work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of previous managerial experience in a similar logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of Irish geography and depot coverage areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and people management.
  • Commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written).
  • Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent timekeeping skills.
  • Strong awareness of safety protocols and procedures.

Terms:
Fulltime, permanent, office-based.
